ESTERO, Fla. – Southern Illinois guard Elijah Elliott will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during Friday’s game against No. 21 Florida.
“Elijah has been a tremendous teammate since he arrived on campus this summer,” Southern Illinois head coach Scott Nagy said. “It’s a devastating injury for him and our program. He is still going to make a significant impact on our team this year through his leadership and I’m confident that he will come back even stronger and is going to have a bright future.”
The 6-foot-1 senior guard averaged 14 points, 3.4 rebounds and one steal in five games for the Salukis, including four starts at point guard.
