Herrin seeking new football coach after Shockley turns in resignation

The Herrin Tigers are searching for a new head football coach.

Former Tigers coach Hunter Shockley turned in his resignation in late November to the Herrin school district.  In just one season, Shockley led the Tigers to a 1-8 record.

Shockley was a late hire for the Tigers after Taylor Perry turned in his own resignation in April of this year.

In the past five seasons, Herrin has gone 12-27.  The team last made the postseason in the 2018 season.
