The Mt. Vernon Rams are the new #1 team in the John A. Logan College SI Basketball Poll following a 50-41 win over former #1 team Centralia this past Friday.
The loss by the Orphans have only broken up our voters on who the top team is even more though with five separate teams receiving at least one first place vote.
Marion comes in to Wednesday with a five-game win streak active and several dominant wins in recent memory to move back in to the Top 5 of the poll.
