MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – One person was taken to the hospital following a house fire Thursday in Marion.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 1200 block of Vicksburg Street around 4:50 a.m.
Two people were inside of the house at the time of the fire. One escaped without injuries, but another suffered serious burns and was taken to a St. Louis hospital.
The home is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
