The Centralia Orphans remain the top team in the John A. Logan College SI Basketball Poll. The Orphans have racked up 16 straight victories, leaving little doubt who is the top team in the region.
Marion stole a first place vote away thanks to a dominant showing over the Waltonville Spartans on Friday night.
Pinckneyville remains in the top 5 but could see a dip next week when voters take in to consideration their home loss to Nashville earlier this week.
The 1A teams are all close in the 7-9 range with Meridian leading Waltonville and Goreville by just 6 points in the votes. The Spartans and Blackcats are tied for 8th.
