WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A caregiver has been accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the elderly woman left in her charge.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s office says from December 2024 though February 2025, Angelyn Messick, 49, of Hurst, stole over $23,000 from the 87-year-old victim.
Messick has been charged with felony theft and financial exploitation of the elderly.
