The conference carousel appears to finally be done spinning. The South Seven is adding Highland to the conference beginning in the 2026-27 school year, according to River Radio Sports Central.
The South Seven is currently made up of Carbondale, Marion, Mt. Vernon, Centralia, and Cahokia. The addition of Highland will guarantee the conference winner in football a playoff spot.
