SIU women’s basketball star Gift Uchenna is entering the NCAA’s transfer portal according to On3’s Talia Goodman.
Southern Illinois junior Gift Uchenna intends to enter the transfer portal, sources told @On3sports.
The 6-3 post player averaged 14.5 ppg, 12.8 rpg and 2.1 bpg. She was the second-leading rebounder in the country this season.

The 6’3 forward was one of the top rebounders in the country this past season. She averaged 12.8 rebounds per game – the second best rebounding average in NCAA women’s basketball this season. Uchenna also averaged 14.5 points and 2.1 blocks. She was an MVC Third Team selection.
On March 20th, Uchenna was reported to have signed with Stayline Sports for NIL representation.

Despite Uchenna’s fantastic season, the Saluki women’s basketball team struggled throughout the 2024-25 season. The Salukis only mustered a 4-26 record and 2-18 record in the Missouri Valley Conference.
