Monday evening, Benton native Isaac Billington announced on Twitter/X that he is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

The 6’1 guard helped the Benton Rangers to a 2nd place finish in the IHSA 2A State Finals in the 2023-24 season before walking on at SIU this past season. He was originally committed to Rend Lake College.
Billington redshirted his first season at SIU.
He joins Kennard Davis, Jr., Ali Dibba, Antwaun Massey, Sheridan Sharp, and Tyler Bey as members of this past season’s SIU men’s basketball team that are currently in the portal.
