Weather Forces Weekend Changes with Home Series Against Missouri State

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois baseball will have a series altered for the third-straight weekend due to weather as the Salukis are set to play host to Missouri State at Itchy Jones Stadium.

The two teams will now begin the series with a doubleheader on Sunday, April 6 starting at 1 p.m. with game two played approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the opener. The series finale will be played on Monday, April 7 with a time be determined.

SIU and Missouri State sit atop the Missouri Valley Conference standings at 5-1 two weekends into league play. Southern Illinois, with a record of 21-7, enters the series on an eight-game winning streak, while Missouri State has won seven of its last eight games, bringing its overall record to 14-13.
