A local union has been taken over by its national office.
Laborers’ International Local 773 is now in “emergency trusteeship.”
The national organization says the local union is being mismanaged – with allegations of improper financial conduct – and local business manager Kevin Starr has acted in a threatening manner, including carrying firearms in the union hall.
