One arrested, two wanted after shots fired in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — A Cairo man has been arrested in connection to a non-fatal shooting in Carbondale.

It happened just before 7:00 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane when argument between two groups ended in gunfire.

No injuries were reported, but a vehicle and home in the area were both hit by bullets.

28-year-old Deandrae Jones has been charged with Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful use of Weapons, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.

Two more suspects are wanted by police
