CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating after a newspaper delivery person had their vehicle stolen.
It happened around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of West Sycamore Street.
According to Carbondale Police, the victim had gotten out of the vehicle to deliver newspapers on foot and left the vehicle running.
Two male teens got into the vehicle and locked the doors. When the victim tried to get their vehicle back, one of the suspects threatened the victim with a knife.
The two suspects drove away. A third suspect got away on foot.
The vehicle was recovered a few hours later. No injuries were reported.
