New cases of COVID-19 reported in southern Illinois Monday

Jackson County

Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jackson County Monday.

  • A female in her forties, who acquired the disease locally, is isolated at home and doing well.
  •  A female in her thirties, who acquired the disease locally, is isolated at home and doing well.
  • A female in her twenties, who acquired the disease locally, is isolated at home and doing well.
  • A female in her eighties, who acquired the disease locally, is isolated in a long-term care facility, and is doing fair.

To date, there have been sixteen confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Jackson County. Four individuals have recovered enough to be released from isolation.

Randolph County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Randolph County Monday.

Public health officials in Randolph County have not disclosed the age or gender of the individuals who have tested positive.

To date, there have been twenty-seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Randolph County. Three individuals have recovered enough to be released from isolation.

Saline County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Saline County Monday.

  • A female in her forties is at home in isolation.

To date, there have been two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saline County.

Williamson County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported Williamson County Monday.

  • A female in her twenties, who is thought to acquired the disease through travel to another state, is at home in isolation.

To date, there have been six confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County.
