CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carterville Police Officer has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a Tuesday press release from the city, the officer is currently recovering at home and at this time does not require hospitalization. The officer’s name nor their specific work responsibilities are being disclosed
The city says other employees of Carterville Police Department are now being tested for COVID-19 and the appropriate precautions are being taken within the department.
