SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — In the past 24 hours, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 658 new cases of COVID-19, including 23 additional deaths.
In southern Illinois, new cases were reported in Alexander (2), Jackson (3), Pulaski (1), Randolph (1), and Williamson (2) counties.
In total, 128,415 cases have been reported in all but one county. 5,924 individuals have died.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate from June 1 – June 7 is 5%
