CARBONDALE — SIU forward J.D. Muila’s had successful knee surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus, according to head coach Bryan Mullins. Doctors reevaluated his timeline for rehabilitation at 4-6 months and he will miss the 2020-21 season.
Originally his rehab timeline was expected to be 6-8 weeks. Muila came to SIU this past summer as the #24 JUCO recruit from Indian Hills.
