Illinois launches webpage for COVID-19 vaccine information

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) – A new webpage containing COVID-19 vaccination information is now available.

The online tool is administered by the State of Illinois. Governor JB Pritzker says it contains a searchable database of COVID-19 vaccination locations and vaccine eligibility guidelines.

“You’ll also find a guide to who qualifies for vaccines in the new phase, 1-B. Broadly, it includes those 65 and over and those classified by the CDC as front-line, essential workers such as teachers, first responders, and grocery workers.”

More than three million Illinoisans fall into the 1-B category.

On Monday, Governor JB Pritzker (D) again asked Illinoisans for their continued patience during the vaccine rollout while noting that more locations to get the vaccine are popping up across the state.

“Already Walgreens and Jewel-Osco are adding appointments at hundreds of locations statewide and CVS, Hy-Vee, Mariano’s, and Kroger will soon follow. Hundreds more locations will be added as more vaccine is shipped by the federal government from vaccine manufacturers.”
