CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police say a dispute between acquaintances Friday ended in shots fired.
It happened at about 11:20 p.m. in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane. Police say the suspect got into an argument with a group of known acquaintances, walked away, but then returned soon after and fired several shots at the group. The suspect then got into the back of a grey Dodge Avenger and left the area.
No injuries were reported.
