MARION, Ill. (WJPF) — A Johnston City man has been sentenced to 12 years in the Department of Corrections on a drug charge.
Timothy Long, 38, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine.
Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says Long was arrested following an August 2021 traffic stop in Johnston City. At the time of his arrest, Long had approximately 114 grams of meth in his possession. Long has two prior convictions for manufacturing meth and one prior conviction for meth possession.
Following his release from prison, Timothy Long will have to serve eighteen months of mandatory supervised release.
