HARRISBURG, Ill. (WJPF) — State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) says progress is slow, but it is being made in the construction of off-highway vehicle trails in the Sahara Woods.
The 26 mile project was started in 2017 and will be the first such state-owned facility. It’s now expected to be completed by the spring of 2023.
Sen. Fowler says the state is currently waiting on about $1.3 million from the federal government before the first phase of construction can be put out for bid.
