Jackson County Health Dept. reports 3 COVID-19 deaths, community transmission rate now “low”

 

JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – The Jackson County Health Department says three people died there of COVID-19 last week.

The deaths were a woman in her eighties and two men in their nineties. A total of 134 people have died in Jackson County from COVID-19 or complications from the disease.

Last week, Jackson County reported an average of four new COVID-19 cases per day. The community transmission rate in Jackson County is now considered “low” by the CDC.
