Second Annual START Community Block Party

Specialized Training for Adult Rehabilitation, Inc. (START), is a not for profit organization committed to “providing a better quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities”. We have been serving our community in Murphysboro and Jackson County since 1968.

We are excited to be hosting our 2nd annual community Block Party fundraiser on May 20, 2023 from Noon to 5pm on 13th St. (between Locust and Manning St) in Murphysboro, IL. The funds earned at this event will assist us in fulfilling our mission. The funds from last year’s event were used to get our individuals involved with Special Olympics (including team shirts), community activities (movies, bowling, etc.), and special events (holiday parties).
