CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Police are investigating a traffic accident in Carbondale that left a pedestrian dead.
It happened at about 2:40 a.m. Friday near the intersection of West Walnut and Poplar Street.
Carbondale Police say the pedestrian was hit by two vehicles and died at a local hospital. Alcohol was not a factor.
The name of the pedestrian has not been released. Charges against the drivers have not been announced.
