Zeigler-Royalton boys basketball has a new head coach.  David Russell will guide the Tornadoes starting in the 2023-24 season.

Russell takes over for Jimmy Stevens, who coached the Tornadoes the past 5 years.

Russell has previously coached the junior high Zeigler-Royalton team.  He also served as an assistant to both Shane Hawkins and Todd Rogers at Carterville for both the boys and girls basketball teams.

Last season, Zeigler-Royalton went winless in the Black Diamond West with an 0-11 record.  They were 6-23 overall.  The Tornadoes lost to Marissa-Coulterville in the Regional Quarterfinals 56-34.
