Former Saluki Notree makes his mark in first start in CFL

Saturday, former Saluki linebacker Bryce Notree made his first start in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes.  The opportunity for Notree to start became apparent on Friday when the team’s depth chart was released and starting linebacker Avery Williams was not listed due to an arm injury.

Notree made the most of the opportunity, leading the Alouettes in tackles with six tackles.

The Allouettes suffered their first loss of the year to Winnipeg 17-3.

Notree was signed by Montreal in January after stint with the NFL’s Washington Commanders in 2022.
