CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Chicago man is facing charges for burglarizing a business in Carbondale.
Carlos Phenix, 67, was caught in the act early Saturday morning inside of a business located in the 400 block of North Illinois Avenue. He was taken into custody after a short foot chase and the stolen property was returned to it’s rightful owner.
Carlos Phenix remains in the Jackson County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 7.
