CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man has been sentenced to 50 years in state prison for the murder of his daughter.
Isaac Hill, 47, was convicted of killing his three-year-old child last summer.
Illinois State Police say the Carbondale Police Department requested ISP to assist with the investigation of an injured 3-year-old girl that was brought to a local hospital by her father. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Isaac Hill was found guilty on August 23, 2023 of first degree murder following a bench trial in Jackson County.
