According to I-DOT, the project will take two construction seasons to complete. Workers will be focusing on a 25-mile stretch of Route 3 from Howardton Road, near Grand Tower, to the Cape T intersection in Jackson, Alexander, and Union Counties.
Drivers should expect some delays and allow extra time through the work zone.
The work starts Monday, March 4th, weather permitting.
