FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A Marion man is facing aggravated battery charges.
Police in Franklin County were called to the American Legion Post in Orient around 9pm March 14th, to investigate a reported beating. The victim is being treated for significant injuries at a regional hospital.
Security camera footage helped identify the suspect, 32 year old Charles Ligon.
Officers in Franklin county reached out to Marion police, who found Ligon at his home.
Ligon was transferred to the custody of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and has been charged with Aggravated Battery.
