ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Oliver Ulrich of Southern Illinois’ Men’s Golf was featured in this week’s State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, the conference announced Thursday.
A native of Aarhus, Denmark, Ulrich is majoring in Sports Administration with minors in Economics and Chinese. The freshman posted a 4.0 GPA and was invited to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
On the course, Ulrich played 22 rounds with a 74.18 stroke average. He shot a season-low round of 69 at the Murray State Invitational where he finished tied for 15th. He was an integral part of the MVC Championship-winning team down the stretch and was selected to compete in the NCAA Regionals as an alternate.
