HARRISBURG, Ill. (WJPF) – Two Harrisburg Youth Center inmates are back in custody after they walked away from a work crew.
Harrisburg Police say the pair were preparing Sunset Lawn Cemetery for the Memorial Day service when they ran just after 9:00 a.m. Friday. They were found about an hour later hiding in a patch of woods.
The nearby Harrisburg Middle School was briefly placed on a precautionary lockdown while police searched the area.
