Arrest made in connection to Carbondale shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – An arrest has been made in connection to a Carbondale shooting.

Police responded to the 700 block of Main Street around 11:30am June 21st, for a report of a shooting.

A video obtained by authorities shows a man wearing dark clothing get out of a white vehicle and fire several shots at another vehicle on Main Street. No one was injured but a home did receive some damage.

Police obtained an arrest warrant on June 24th for 18 year old Justin Perteet-Lovelady, for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Perteet-Lovelady was caught by officers on June 29th and taken into custody. He also had a gun in his possession at the time of the arrest.

He faces charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons, Armed Violence, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Resisting a Police Officer.
