METROPOLIS, Ill. (WJPF) – A man is facing domestic battery and weapon charges in Metropolis.
Officers with the Metropolis Police Department responded to a 911 call on September 12 in the 700 block of East 12th Street.
47 year old Cleyon Tanner and a female were at the home. Tanner denied anything was wrong but as officers were leaving Tanner grabbed the victim by the hair and punched her in the mouth.
Tanner was arrested and taken to the Massac County Detention Center facing charges of Domestic Battery and Felon in Possession of a Weapon.
