CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the League’s 2024-25 conference slate on Friday, completing the Saluki men’s basketball schedule for the upcoming year. For season ticket information call 877-SALUKIS.
With a 20-game schedule in MVC play, SIU will play two MVC teams just one time per season. This season, the Salukis will not make the trip to Des Moines to face Drake while Indiana State will not travel to Carbondale.
The Salukis will open MVC action on December 3 when Bradley comes to town before returning to Valley play on December 29 on the road at UNI.
Southern will open 2025 on New Year’s Day with Evansville making its way to Banterra Center before back-to-back games on the road at Illinois State (1/5) and Belmont (1/8). SIU will play consecutive games against Missouri State next, first with a home game against the Bears on January 11 before traveling to Springfield on January 15.
SIU plays host to Northern Iowa on January 18 before regional rival Murray State comes to Carbondale on January 22. Southern will then head north for a pair games at UIC on January 25 and Valparaiso on January 28.
The Salukis open the month of February with its lone matchup against Drake before heading to Evansville on February 5 to faceoff with the Aces. UIC will come to town on February 8 before SIU hits the road for Peoria to face Bradley on February 12. Southern will welcome Belmont on February 15 before a road matchup with Murray State on February 19.
SIU will have back-to-back home dates with Valparaiso (2/22) and Illinois State (2/25) to close out the Banterra Center before wrapping up regular season action on the road at Indiana State on March 2.
The State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament is set for March 6-9 at Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
SIU will play three teams yet to be announced officially in the Gulf Coast Showcase November 25-27 at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. More information on the tournament can be found by clicking HERE.
