Louisiana man arrested for road rage shooting in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Louisiana man was arrested after a road rage shooting in Carbondale.

It happened around 8:50 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of East Grand Avenue, near the SIU Rec Center.

Carbondale Police say Mohommad Muhammad, 28, of Matairie, Louisiana, fired at one other vehicle, leading to a three vehicle crash. Police say the people involved did not know each other. Police have not said what triggered the road rage.

Mohommad Muhammad was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
