ST. LOUIS – Olivia Anderson and Sophia Schlicklin of the Southern Illinois University women’s soccer team received Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference honors on Wednesday.
Anderson was named to the Third Team, and Schlicklin was named to the All-Freshman Team. These are the first All-Conference awards for both players.
Anderson played in all 19 games this season, starting in 14 and playing a total of 954 minutes. The junior finished the year tied for a team-high with 19 shots.
Schlicklin earned All-Freshman honors after finishing with four goals, the second most on the team. The freshman recorded a game-high two goals against North Alabama, which was tied for second in the MVC.
Southern Illinois ended its season 6-8-5 overall after advancing to the MVC Tournament for the second time in program history.
