CARBONDALE, Ill. – Kaytee Dahlstrom and Sage Grann of the Southern Illinois University softball team were named to Softball America’s Freshman Watch List, as announced on Tuesday.
Dahlstrom is a right-handed pitcher from Meridian, Calif., and previously attended Sutter Union High School. There, the freshman won State Sectionals as a junior and was a multi-sport athlete, also competing in volleyball and basketball.
Grann comes to SIU by way of Kansas City, Kan., and is listed as both an infielder and outfielder. At Piper High School, Grann was First Team All-Conference three times, and was First Team All-State as a senior.

Dahlstrom, Grann, and the Salukis will begin their 2025 campaign on Friday, Feb. 7, against Appalachian State at 10 a.m. in Auburn, Ala.
