CHRISTOPHER, Ill. (WJPF) – Alert neighbors and quick action by police landed two Franklin County residents in jail for burglary.
Christopher Police say around 12:00 pm Tuesday they received reports of two individuals dressed in dark clothing and ski masks trespassing at a home on Mulkey Street. James McKee, 38, and Tracey Burroughs, 46, were caught arrested as they exited the rear of the home on Mulkey Street. Both were charged with burglary and possession burglary tools.
Additionally, police say James McKee had an active Perry County warrant for failure to appear aggravated fleeing – DUI, domestic battery, force or threat.
