MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Mount Vernon have released more details about an ongoing murder investigation.
Patrick Williamson, 57, of Mount Vernon, was killed early Monday morning at home on south 15th Street.
Three people have been arrested in connection to the killing.
Laura Beneway, 60, of Bonnie, has been charged with two counts of 1st degree murder involving a forcible felony (robbery), one count of concealing a homicidal death, and one count of obstructing justice.
Eddie Bennett, 67, of Mt. Vernon, has been charged with two counts of 1st degree murder forcible felony (robbery) and one count of 1st degree murder (act of probability of death).
Peter Harris, 66, of Mt. Vernon, has been charged with two counts of 1st degree murder involving a forcible felony (robbery), once count of one count of 1st degree murder (act of probability of death), and obstructing justice.
The circumstances surrounding Patrick Williamson’s death have not been revealed by investigators.
