Books, Beats, and Bingo Fundraiser

Mt. Vernon, IL – United Way of South Central Illinois is excited to announce the upcoming Books, Beats, and Bingo fundraiser, a lively event to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL). This event will take place on Friday, June 20th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Knuckleheads in Mt. Vernon.

The evening promises to be a fun-filled night of music, bingo, and prizes, all in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that provides free books to children in our community, fostering a love of reading and supporting early childhood literacy. Over 2,000 children locally receive books every month through this program, and the funds raised will directly benefit these children, ensuring they continue to receive the books that inspire their imagination and learning.

Tickets for the event are $15, which includes 10 bingo cards. Attendees will enjoy a night of music-themed bingo, where instead of numbers, they’ll mark off song titles. The event will feature great music, delicious concessions, and an opportunity to win exciting prizes—all while supporting a wonderful cause.
