2023 Blessing of the Bikes

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Bald Knob Cross of Peace will host the 31ST Annual Blessing of the Bikes in partnership with the Lord’s Paheece Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. The event provides an opportunity for Motorcycle enthusiasts to gather for a blessing at one of the region’s most iconic landmarks. The event will feature on-going blessings from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Lunch and refreshments will be available on-site.

We are excited to welcome an anticipated 5,000+ Motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout the Midwest for this annual event at Bald Knob Cross. Event T-Shirts are available at the Bald Knob Cross Welcome Center in Alto Pass, online, at Black Diamond Harley Davidson, Roadhouse Harley Davidson, and Phillips Pro Cycle. Bald Knob Cross of Peace is situated in the Shawnee National Forest near the small town of Alto Pass, Illinois, and towers above the landscape at a height of over 111 feet. After the inaugural Easter Sunrise Service in 1937, construction of the Cross began in 1959 with completion in 1963. The Cross attracts over 35,000 visitors annually from across the world, making it one of the most popular destinations in the region. The site is managed by Bald Knob Cross of Peace, Inc, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
