Carbondale Veteran’s Day Ceremony

      November 11, 2024 is Veterans Day and in commemoration Southern Illinois University Carbondale Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets will conduct a vigil at the flagpole located adjacent to Wheeler Hall, 975 South Normal Avenue on the SIU Campus in Carbondale.  The vigil will begin at 6:00 AM and continue until Noon with change of guards every 15 minutes.  At 11:00 a ceremony will begin which includes a proclamation from the Mayor of Carbondale, remarks by Martin Parsons a veteran and SIUC Alumnus and laying of a wreath with Taps performed by the SIUC Trumpet Studio.
